Easy Cookie Dough Recipe - Freezer Friendly

Friday morning Miss Daisy and I decided to bake some cookies! If you don't have an easy default Cookie Dough Recipe then this should be it!

Just For Daisy:: Cookie Dough Recipe
Really easy to make, simple ingredients, add your favourite cookie flavours and you can freeze them so you've always got a supply of cookie dough on hand!

Just For Daisy:: Cookie Dough Recipe

Ingredients

150g softened butter
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
2 cups flour
(optional extras!)
Today we did one batch - 1/2 M&M cookies and 1/2 choc chip!

Other combos we love include:
White Choc Chip & Cranberry
White Choc Chip & Macadamia
Double Choc Chip (add 1 Tbs cocoa powder with flour) and choc chips
Date Delight (chopped up dates and a tsp of golden syrup!)
Confetti Cookies - add 100's & 1000's to mix or roll log in them before cutting

Method
Preheat your oven to 180'C

1. Cream your butter, sugar and vanilla using electric mixer until light and fluffy
2. Add your egg and beat until well combined
3. Sift your flour into the butter mix and combine with a spoon until mix comes together to form a dough
4. Add your goodies of choice, stir until well mixed through the dough
(I split the mix in half and made two types of cookie)

5. Roll your dough into small balls (I made 15 in each variety - 30 total) and place onto a lined baking tray.

6. Gently press each biscuit down using a fork

7. Bake at 180'C for approximately 15 minutes, rotating the sheets at about 10 minutes. Check to ensure they don't overcook (you want them a little soft!)

8. Remove from oven and allow to cool (slightly) before enjoying with a cool glass of milk!

I like to make a double batch of these and split it four ways.

Make four different combos using your favourite additions.

Then roll each of your four mixes into a log shape and wrap in cling wrap.

Freeze for up to 2 months!

You'll always have a batch of cookies at hand for unexpected guests or hungry children (or husbands!)

What is your favourite cookie flavour?
